POST OCCUPANCY EVALUATION (POE) CRITERIA FOR PUBLIC AND PRIVATE UNIVERSITY HEALTH CENTRES: USERS' PERSPECTIVE

Abstract

The university health center is one of the most important support facilities for students in a university. For that, this study aims to identify the criteria needed in measuring the performance of health centers in public and private universities using post occupancy evaluation (POE). A literature review was conducted to determine the relevant criteria. These criteria were used in the questionnaire distributed to the health center users at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Asian Institute of Medical, Science, and Technology University (AIMST University). Data were analyzed using average score analysis and frequency analysis. Of that, comfortability is given the highest priority for respondents from both universities. Findings is useful for performance measurement and provision of health facilities at the university, which can be made according to the criteria set out in this study.
