ANALYSIS OF THE FUNCTION OF THE ISLAMIC DA'WAH MESSAGES IN FACEBOOK PAGE

Abstract

The rapid development of the new media impact in almost every corner of society. Between the effects of new media innovation is the occurrence of changes in patterns of dissemination and information search by community. This development also opens up opportunities and space to the preacher to use social media as one of the Islamic Da'wah delivery medium. Hence, occurs transformation of Islamic Da'wah delivery method among preachers who start using social media, particularly Facebook. This is because social media suitable complementary and alternative as a medium to medium existing missionary. However, the use of social media in presenting Islamic Da'wah message must be executed responsibly and Sage to a broader audience vary. The appropriate approach should be used to attract the audience of the messages conveyed. Hence, this research aims at identifying Islamic Da'wah message function through the medium of Facebook by five selected preachers. Five Facebook page have been selected and analysed using thematic analysis method with the help of software NVivo. The theme in this research was formed in advance because the research involves knowledge of Islam were established in our minds. Theoretical framework of the study is built based on the theory of Framing. The proceeds from the charity is encouraging Function finds the message frequently discussed in entries that are analyzed. The findings could be a frame refer to the preacher and also to government agencies and NGOS in delivering Islamic Da'wah messages to the public. Use of the functions of the right message would be of interest and provide positive impact to society.
