Abstract

The halal certification of Malaysia in the halal food industry is especially important to entrepreneurs to ensure that each product is based on a true Islamic principle. Therefore, Malaysia needs more entrepreneurs especially Muslim entrepreneurs to apply for Malaysia's halal certification. However, halal certification is one of the issues that has been frequently debated since its inception. In addition, applications for compliance with halal certificate standards among Muslim entrepreneurs are still unsatisfactory. Various factors affecting compliance behavior have been suggested in literature, but the issue of compliance behavior from halal perspectives among Muslim entrepreneurs is still limited. Hence, the purpose of this study is to identify religious factors in influencing the behavior of Malaysia's halal compliance certification among Muslim entrepreneurs in Malaysia. This study uses a literature review method to identify and analyze this phenomenon. Further research proposals are also discussed.
