Umrah fraud cases in Malaysia: Challenges and solution

Umrah fraud in Malaysia is an increasing concern, affecting pilgrims financially and emotionally. This study uses descriptive analysis to explore the causes and challenges in combating such fraud, including weak regulations, lack of public awareness, and misleading marketing tactics. It further examines the impact on victims and society, including financial losses, emotional distress, and loss of trust in institutions. The paper recommends strengthening legal frameworks, enhancing oversight and enforcement, and promoting public awareness campaigns to protect pilgrims and ensure the integrity of Umrah travel.
