Role-play as pedagogical tool on Arabic language acquisition

This study aims examines the effectiveness of the role-play method in enhancing students’ Arabic language skills, particularly in speaking proficiency, motivation, vocabulary acquisition, and active learning. A total of 405 undergraduate students from UiTM enrolled in Arabic language courses participated in the study. A quantitative research design was employed using a structured questionnaire and analysed descriptively. The findings reveal positive student perceptions, with high mean scores in fluency, engagement, and vocabulary development. These findings affirm role-play as an effective pedagogical approach in Arabic language instruction.
