Abstract

Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL) has experienced significant expansion and change recently, primarily due to advancements in mobile technology and the changing nature of language teaching. This study paper provides a bibliometric analysis to elucidate the dynamic trends and influential elements within the Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) research domain. The scope of our study includes four primary aspects: the examination of trends in research related to Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL), the identification of the most prominent authors the field of MALL, examining associated organisations that demonstrate interest in Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) research and an assessment of the utilisation of themes in MALL research. By conducting a comprehensive analysis of scholarly literature over a significant period of time, this study provides valuable perspectives on the development of research in Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL), emphasising new trends and alterations in theoretical frameworks. This study aims to examine the influential themes and writers that have had a substantial impact on the area, thereby offering vital contextual information for academics and educators. In addition, this study examines the collaborative networks among academics in the field of Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL), uncovering patterns of collaboration that enhance the collective knowledge within this area of study. Within the keyword analysis domain, we explore the vocabulary employed in MALL (Mobile-Assisted Language Learning) research to uncover the predominant themes, areas of focus, and instructional methodologies. This analysis contributes to comprehending the present research landscape and lays the foundation for forthcoming inquiries. This study contributes to the current academic conversation surrounding Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL) by providing a comprehensive analysis based on empirical data. It examines the historical development of MALL and its current state and explores potential future possibilities for this field of research.
