Abstract

This study examines the Muslim community's acceptance of educational cash waqf, especially among UnIPSAS staff, based on the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB). The survey collected data from 60 UnIPSAS staff. In addition, the data analysis was carried out using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software and Smart Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modelling (Smart PLS-SEM) to test the hypothesis and reach conclusions. Accordingly, the results revealed that subjective norm, perceived behavioural control, and religiosity have a significant positive impact on cash waqf acceptance. However, only a few studies have examined the factors influencing cash waqf acceptance, especially in private higher education. This research used the theory of perceived behavioural (TPB) to ascertain staff's attitudes, perceived behavioural control, and subjective norm, including the effect of religiosity on behavioural intention, crucial to understanding the concept of cash waqf acceptance. The study of staff desires to donate to cash waqf is important because it serves as a springboard for future generations of UnIPSAS students and staff to engage in philanthropic endeavours through waqf.
