ENCOUNTERS 4.0 ERA: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY GOVERNANCE, KNOWLEDGE SHARING, AND BUSINESS PERFORMANCE

Abstract

The presence of good Information Technology Governance (ITG) in 4.0 era is very important to ensure the effectiveness of banks’ integrated system. This research aims to examine the effect of ITG on business performance with knowledge sharing which proxy by Tacit Knowledge Sharing (TKS) and Explicit knowledge Sharing (EKS) as mediating variable. Populations in this research were commercial banks in Indonesia where samples were taken by purposive sampling method and obtained 60 data from 20 commercial banks based on certain criteria. To attain this objective, developed questionnaires were contributed to respondents of branch manager, operation manager, and sales/marketing manager in each bank. This research using path analysis with Warp PLS 3.0 to analyzed the data. The result showed that ITG has a positive effect on business performance, TKS not mediating the effect of ITG on business performance while EKS partially mediating the effect of ITG on business performance.
