THE INFLUENCE OF CREATIVITY AND WILLINGNESS TO TAKE RISKS ON STUDENTS' ENTREPRENEURIAL INTENTION
Abstract
One of the most popular subjects of many studies is entrepreneurship due to its benefits for many organisations. Students' creativity and willingness to take risk are considered as among the crucial features of entrepreneurship which is critical to developing their entrepreneurial intention. This study aims at examining the relationship between entrepreneurial intentions and creativity as well willingness to take risks among university students. Quantitative research was conducted through a survey of 217 undergraduate students in public universities. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, IBM SPSS Statistics 26.0 was utilised to test the model. Students' creativity and willingness to take risks are thought to be common characteristics of entrepreneurs and a prerequisite for innovation and entrepreneurship. Analytical findings indicate that students' creativity and willingness to take risks have a significant direct effect on their entrepreneurial intentions. The study evidently supports the significant relationship between students' entrepreneurial intentions and creativity as well as willingness to take risks. These findings have several implications for encouraging entrepreneurship among university students.
