A CONCEPTUAL REVIEW ON GREEN HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

Abstract

Green Human Resources management (GHRM) is critical in the sphere of business and management in the modern era. It refers to the use of every employee in the organisation to support long-term activities that increase employee responsiveness while also committing to various issues of sustainability. It serves as a process of greening the organizations and their people. In this agenda, initiatives, and practices at to fulfil their specific goals as well as making contributions towards environmental protection. The problems related to HRM can be resolved by implementing GHRM practices especially in the situation where COVID-19 is still around us and organizations must be alert on the spread of other diseases during this endemic time. GHRM has major influences on employees, which causes to increase in the performance of employees in the long run. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to review the development of GHRM around the globe. For this reason, an archival method where studies of different researchers available on online databases including UiTM database system, google scholar, Science Direct, Scopus, and Emerald Insight were used. The goal of GHRM is to conserve and save the environment. Furthermore, moving in a route that benefits the world and preserves nature’s friendliness is a wise concept. Thus, this paper aims at presenting the reviews of the literature on GHRM. The review will give a holistic understanding of the GHRM concept for future researchers and to aid identifying the research gap in relations to this topic.
