Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial performance of micro industries in Lahad Datu, Sabah using five dimensions of entrepreneurial orientation of innovative, proactive, risk-taking, competitive aggressiveness and autonomy. A total of 101 respondents who run micro-enterprise business were selected as samples in this study. The sample was selected using snowball technique. The results of the study showed the presence of a proactive and autonomous dimension in micro-enterprise in Lahad Datu with a mean value at a moderate level and higher level respectively. The study also found that there was a significant relationship between the dimensions of proactive and entrepreneurial achievement. The findings of this study are expected to be utilized by industrial micro entrepreneurs, government bodies and non-governmental organizations, other researchers, and the parties interested in entrepreneurship.
