Abstract

The Sultanate of Oman is a member of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and, like the other member countries, is a significant producer and supplier of petroleum. Recent global incidents such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the Ukraine-Russia war, and more regional incidents such as, cyclones and the Arab Spring, have resulted in disruptions to the fuel supply chain across the globe and in Oman. In addition to these, there are other issues and challenges faced by the fuel supply chain in Oman. Therefore, this article aims to provide an improved understanding of the issues and challenges of the fuel supply chain, in general, and in Oman, in particular, in an endeavour to provide pathways for future research in the domain of the fuel industry.
